When you work outdoors, you must be both strategic (parking, lack of bathrooms, wind strength, beach passes) and fearless (I know I’m on private property, but I’m a painter and I did knock on the door), and then put down paint in a beautiful and bold way. It has its own magic and every place you paint belongs to you afterwards, from your time spent together.

Some people fish, some paint. All great reasons to stare at a beautiful landscape from the side of the road for 4 hours.
